IMPORTANT NEWSFLASH!: Oct 12 2010; Blue Buffalo foods has voluntarily recalled production runs of their Wilderness Chicken-Dog, Basics Salmon-Dog and Large Breed Adult Dog products. There is reason to believe that the products from these runs may contain a higher level of Vitamin D than is called for. If you have any of these products you should stop feeding them immediately. Blue Buffalo can be reached at 1-877-523-9114.
If your dog has shown any adverse reaction to the recalled products, he should be check by a veterinarian. Typical symptoms may include excessive water intake and/or excessive urination, and in some cases vomiting.

Eastern Equine Encephalomyelitis: Aug 02 2010; There have been cases of Eastern Equine Encephalomyelitis (EEE), commonly called sleeping sickness in southern Michigan. If your horse has not been vaccinated in the past 6 months, please be advised a booster is recomended. EEE is a highly fatal mosquito spread neurological disease. Good insect repellants, sheets and fans can aid in protection. EEE is not contagious from horse to horse.
